17th Annual Pancake 5K Road Race
The YMCA is sponsoring this race. Come and be part of this great event, coupled with the Child Shall Lead Road Race, it is fun for the whole family with a pancake breakfast after the race! Race starts at 9:45 a.m. If you wish to volunteer to help at this event, call Tamera or Adam at 338-4598. Entry fee includes race and breakfast.

Must be ages 14 & up to participate in General Fitness Classes

3-Month & Non-Member General Fitness Class Pricing:

$ 10.00 Adult Drop-in fee (per 60-minute class)
$ 6.00 Adult Drop-in fee (per 30-minute class)

and have the instructor punch the card for each class.
NOTE: Un-used and lost cards are non-refundable.

General Fitness Classes
All General Fitness classes are held in the Wellness Room unless otherwise noted. Instructors & class times are subject to change, based on availability and number of participants. Pre-Registration is not required for General Group Fitness Classes. All fees must be paid before attending classes. A 12-class card can be purchased at the Front Desk for General Fitness Classes. No refunds for lost or stolen 12-class cards.

  • Cardio Step 60 min.Tamera Blades
    A high-energy aerobic workout using a step platform, ab work & stretching.
  • Circuit Training 60 min. Traci Sheldon
    Combine cardiovascular movements and resistance exercises in an interval format to get a time efficient workout.
  • Dynamic Definition 60 min. Tamera Blades
    A class that offers a variety of effective formats incorporating the use of a step, tubing, weights, & balls. Work your entire body in full range resistance exercises that increase strength, muscle tone, & flexibility.
  • Easy Does It 30 min. Zoe Calder
    A comfortable atmosphere for having fun, while improving flexibility, muscle tone, coordination, balance, heart & lung capacity.
  • Fit Yoga 60 min. Dawn Preston-Alden
    Flowing, dynamic sequencing will emphasize asanas that strengthen, open and tone the entire body. A vigorous, more athletic approach to yoga techniques.
  • Forever Fit 60 min. Tamera Blades
    You’ll participate in low-impact aerobics, muscle strengthening & stretching.
  • Gentle Yoga 60 min. Ashes Messner & Marcie Jan Bronstein
    Longer holding of yoga poses to improve strength, flexibility, balance, decrease stress and enhance body awareness.
  • Hoola Hooping 60 min. Judith Tingley
    Learn how to use a weighted hoola hoop for a fun exercise workout!
  • Interval Training 60 min. Maggie Raymond & Susan Wieman
    Raise your heart rate with a mixture of kickboxing, step aerobics, strength training, abdominal work and stretching.
  • Kardio-Kickboxing 60 min. Don Maurio
    Integrate kicks and punches with aerobic conditioning.
  • Pilates & Yamuna Body Rolling 60 min. Robin Peskoe
    Using a specially designed ball you’ll learn routines to massage your muscles and to release tension. Combined with the ball work, learn Pilates exercises that will build your core strength and endurance to keep you standing tall.
  • Tai Chi 60 min. Dave Hurley
    A soft, non-violent martial art that brings relaxation and develops coordination and balance. All levels welcome!
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga 60 min. Dawn Preston-Alden
    Designed to improve the health, performance and mental acuity of anyone interested in improving their level of fitness. Practical user-friendly style that can be done by everyone.
  • Zumba 60 min. Tamera Blades
    Dance steps are taken from salsa, cha cha, samba, tango, merengue, add hints of flamenco, calypso, hip-hop and belly dancing, and put them in a workout routine to Brazilian, Latin, and Island rhythms.

SPECIALTY FITNESS CLASSES

Specialty Fitness Classes
All Specialty Fitness classes are held in the Wellness Room unless otherwise noted. Instructors & class times are subject to change, based on availability and number of participants. Participants may register two weeks prior to the start of any program. Class fee must be paid before attending classes, bring your receipt of payment from Front Desk for admittance to class.

Indoor Y-Cycling Various Instructors FALL classes begin November 1, 2010
The Y–Cycling program will help make your fitness goals a reality. You will get a heart pounding, low impact workout, regardless of your fitness level.

$3 per class / Annual Members 10-class card for $30

Classes must be prepaid in order to register. No refunds.

Lifetime Fitness Tamera & Don
For men & women ages 60-years and older. The class offers activity for life-long fitness. It includes warm-up stretches, walking, low-level aerobics, optional chair exercises, muscle strengthening & relaxation. Burn calories while improving flexibility, muscle tone, coordination, balance, and heart & lung capacity.
