General Fitness Classes
Members ages 12-14 must have a fitness orientation
and adult supervision while in the Fitness Room.


All General Fitness classes are held in the Wellness Room unless otherwise noted. Instructors & class times are subject to change, based on availability and number of participants. Pre-Registration is not required for General Group Fitness Classes. All fees must be paid before attending classes. A 12-class card can be purchased at the Front Desk for General Fitness Classes. No refunds for lost or stolen 12-class cards. You can become a class participant at any time! Days and times of classes vary

    A comfortable atmosphere for having fun, while improving flexibility, muscle tone, coordination, balance, heart & lung capacity.
  • Bellydance Workout 60 min. Wendy Kasten
    This is an 8 week progressive session. To learn the choreography, weekly class participation is encouraged.
  • Body by Hoop 30 min. Judith Tingley
    Learn how to use a weighted hula hoop to whittle your waist & tone your thighs & arms!
  • Cardio Fusion 60 min. Tamera Blades / Sophie Pfander
    Workouts will incorporate step, hi/lo aerobics, kickboxing, intervals and sculpting.
  • Cardio Step 60 min. Tamera Blades
    A high-energy aerobic workout using a step platform, ab work and stretching
  • Core Training 30 min. Sophie Pfander
    Exercises for the abs, back, glutes, & thighs!
  • Country Heat LIVE 45 min. Cari-Anne Higgins
    This is truly a dance workout anyone can do because the moves are so simple to pick up. Add on moves to create a routine.
  • Dynamic Definition 60 min. Tamera Blades
    Work your entire body in full range resistance exercises that increase strength, muscle tone, & flexibility.
  • Forever Fit 60 min. Tamera Blades
    You’ll participate in low-impact aerobics, muscle strengthening & stretching.
  • Good Morning Yoga 60 min. Conny Hatch
    An all-levels class-beginners welcome!
  • HIIT 30 or 45 min. Sophie Pfander
    High Intensity Interval Training.
  • Interval Training 60 min. Susan Wieman
    Raise your heart rate with a mixture of step aerobics, strength training, abdominal work and stretching.
  • Lifetime Fitness 60 min. Tamera Blades / Sophie Pfander
    For those over age 50 and better! This class includes stretches, low-impact aerobic movement and strengthening. Improve flexibility, muscle tone, coordination, balance, heart & lungs.
  • Pilates on the Mat 60 min. Jane Veevaert
    Learn creative ways to isolate, strengthen and stretch every muscle of the body in a functional and effective way. Pilates mat exercises will enhance core strength and promote flexibility and muscular control.
  • Pilates/Yoga Fusion 60 min. Conny Hatch
    This class, using a stability ball, combines the core-strengthening and breath work of Pilates with focus on alignment and full-body awareness of Yoga.
  • Rock Your Flow 60 min. Dawn Preston
    This is a Vinyasa Flow yoga class that uses both contemporary and traditional music. This class matches movement with breath, and is adaptable for all levels.
  • Simple Conditioning 45 min. Anne Rothrock
    Blending balance, strength and movement that matters for active daily living.
  • Tai Chi 60 min. Dave Hurley
    A soft, non-violent martial art that brings relaxation and develops coordination and balance. All levels welcome!
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga 60 min. Amy Bird
    Using a combined art and wisdom from Yoga, Physical Therapy, Pilates and Dynamic Stretching, this class offers a fresh perspective on functional fitness. With an emphasis on improving core strength, balance, coordination, range of motion, breathing, awareness, and mind body proprioception.
  • Yin Yoga 75 min. Dawn Preston
    This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia.
  • Zumba 60 min. Tamera Blades
    Dance steps are taken from salsa, cha cha, samba, tango, merengue, add hints of flamenco, calypso, hip-hop and belly dancing, and put them in a workout routine to Brazilian, Latin, and Island rhythms.
  • Zumba Basic 45 min. Sheri McHenry
    A fitness program specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms created in the original Zumba and bring them to the Active Older Adult or beginner participant. Easy, fun and effective form of dance fitness!

    FREE Introduction to Fitness Class - MEMBER BENEFIT
    — Never participated in a low impact aerobic fitness class and don’t know what to expect? — Afraid of going to your first class? — Ready for a fitness class but not sure of the basic moves? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then call to schedule an appointment for an introduction to fitness class session. This session will provide a brief introduction to the basic terms and moves used in some of our fitness classes. The session will include explanation and short practice of some of the basic and most frequently used low impact aerobic moves. This will apply to classes like Balanced Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, Dynamic Definition and Forever Fit and some of these moves are used in Zumba too!
