General Fitness Classes
Members ages 12-14 must have a fitness orientation
and adult supervision while in the Fitness Room.



All General Fitness classes are held in the Wellness Room unless otherwise noted. Instructors & class times are subject to change, based on availability and number of participants. Pre-Registration is not required for General Group Fitness Classes. All fees must be paid before attending classes. A 12-class card can be purchased at the Front Desk for General Fitness Classes. No refunds for lost or stolen 12-class cards. You can become a class participant at any time! Days and times of classes vary.

    Learn how to use a weighted hula hoop to whittle your waist & tone your thighs & arms.
  • Cardio Fusion 60 min. Tamera Blades / Sophie Pfander
    Step hi/lo aerobics, kickboxing, intervals and ab work.
  • Cardio Step 60 min. Tamera Blades
    A high-energy aerobic workout using a step platform, ab work and stretching.
  • Circuit/Interval Training 45 min. Glenn Veevaert
    A mix of strength & cardio at a moderate to high intensity.
  • Core Training 30 min. Sophie Pfander
    Exercises for the abs, back, glutes, & thighs!
  • Dynamic Definition 60 min. Tamera Blades / Sophie Pfander
    Work your entire body in full range resistance exercises that increase strength, muscle tone, and flexibility.
  • Entry Level Yoga 60 min. Glenn Veevaert
    A low-key approah to breathing, movement, balance, and flexibility combining mat and standing poses. Emphasis on present moment and body awareness.
  • Forever Fit 60 min. Tamera Blades
    Low-impact aerobics, core strengthening & stretching.
  • Going Strong 30 min. Anne Rothrock / Sophie Pfander
    Formally known as Balanced Fitness. A total body workout combining elements or cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.
  • Good Morning Yoga 60 min. Conny Hatch
    An all-levels class-beginners welcome!
  • Hatha Yoga 60 min. Polly Ireland
    An all levels class that stresses safe alighnment and balances strength.
  • HIIT 30 or 45 min. Sophie Pfander
    High Intensity Interval Training.
  • Interval Training 60 min. Susan Wieman
    Raise your heart rate with a mixture of step aerobics, strength training, abdominal work and stretching.
  • Lifetime Fitness 60 min. Tamera Blades
    For beginners or those over age 50 and better! Includes aerobics, muscle strengthening, and stretching. Improve flexibility, muscle tone, coordination, balance, heart & lung efficiency.
  • Pilates on the Mat 60 min. Jane Veevaert
    Learn creative ways to isolate, strengthen and stretch every muscle of the body in a functional and effective way.
  • SAIL 45 min. Cathryn Harjung
    Blending balance, strength, and movement. Movement that matters for active daily living.
  • Simple Conditioning 45 min. Anne Rothrock
    Blending balance, strength, and movement. Movement that matters for active daily living.
  • Yin Yoga 75 min. Dawn Preston
    This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably in meditation by stretching connective tussue around the joings (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses which are typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper levels of fascia.
  • Zumba 60 min. Tamera Blades / Kristen Klenk / Kirsten Fogg
    This workout includes dance steps from salsa, cha cha, samba, merengue, cumbia, with added hints of calypso, hip-hop and belly dancing.
  • Zumba Basic 45 min. Sheri McHenry
    A fitness program specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms created in the original Zumba and bring them to the Active Older Adult or beginner participant. Easy, fun and effective form of dance fitness!


    FREE Introduction to Fitness Class - MEMBER BENEFIT
    — Never participated in a low impact aerobic fitness class and don’t know what to expect? — Afraid of going to your first class? — Ready for a fitness class but not sure of the basic moves? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then call to schedule an appointment for an introduction to fitness class session. This session will provide a brief introduction to the basic terms and moves used in some of our fitness classes. The session will include explanation and short practice of some of the basic and most frequently used low impact aerobic moves. This will apply to classes like Balanced Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, Dynamic Definition and Forever Fit and some of these moves are used in Zumba too!

    HEALTH COACH
    Perhaps you have decided to “get into shape”, maybe after trying many times before. You are motivated. But, do you have a plan? **A health coach can help you. **A health coach will teach you how to set reasonable and realistic goals. The goals center around all aspects of health and fitness. **A health coach can provide nutrition guidance, give suggestions on how to adopt healthy lifestyle changes, and provide motivation while you make your journey to improved health. Everyone is different and has different goals. **A health coach will work with you to help you get where you want to go.
