Summer Camps

Our goal is to keep your child energized and active for the summer
months. We are planning some super fun activities that will appeal to
each group of children. We plan to offer arts & crafts, board games,
gym games, quiet-time, swimming, playground time, special trips and
so much more for our younger crowd. The older group of campers will
spend the majority of their time outdoors at Camp Fair Haven. Their
activities will include many physical activities, water activities,
hiking, and team building activities. Campers at the Unity Field of
Dreams will be based outside and share many of the same activities as
the kids at Camp Fair Haven. Our youngest Scamper campers will spend
their time at the YMCA with indoor activities as well as outdoor games
and free time. Children attending our sports camps will be busy learning
more about a sport and working to perfect their own skills.
Some of last year’s staff will be returning again
this year. They bring years of experience and are ready to make this summer
one of the best ever for your child. All of our staff are First-Aid and
CPR certified and strive to keep safety as a top priority in all activities
while challenging campers to reach beyond their comfort zones.

CAMP NEDOBAK
Again this year, Camp Nedobak will be held at Camp Fairhaven in Brooks.
We will be based on the East side of the lake and have the opportunity
to participate in archery, swimming, low-ropes course, hiking trails on
site, canoeing, and other water activities. This year we are also pleased
to announce that we are bringing our adventure camp to Camp Nedobak. Our
Adventure Camp Leader, Brandon Hurd, will be spending every day at camp
teaching campers about safety in the woods, on the water, orienteering,
animal tracks, and so much more. There may be scheduled overnight trips
for the older campers. We will also learn more about Camp Fairhaven, the
activities they offer all year long, their mission, and philosophy. The
kids will spend the day outside unless there is a thunderstorm or an all-day
downpour. Campers should be prepared for weather extremes. We recommend
dressing in layers.

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS
Our sports camps are conducted by paid staff, youth &
adult volunteers and special guests. All of them have the best interest
of the children in mind. Kids play sports to have fun therefore, that
is the goal of our sports coaches. Along with fun comes being active,
improving skills, and gaining confidence. This makes kids winners in their
minds and ours. Water is essential for all sports camps. Please be sure
your child has a water bottle with him/her everyday. For full day camps,
please pack a cold lunch.
